Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Bleach & Tone.

We can lift hair approximately one to seven levels depending on previous color, hair porosity, and chosen mix. Your consultation will determine realistic goals, necessary steps, and whether a bonder or multiple sessions are required for safe, even results.

Bleaching can weaken hair fibers; fragile or previously processed hair especially benefits from a bonder. We require bonders for platinum looks or compromised hair to minimize breakage and preserve elasticity. Your stylist will assess during consultation and recommend appropriate protection.

No — a clarifier is not included. We may recommend a clarifying shampoo prior to or during consultation to remove product buildup for even lift. Any clarifier treatment or additional prep will be discussed and priced during your consultation.

Appointment time varies—typically two to five hours depending on hair length, density, previous color, and desired lift. Platinum or multi-step fashion colors and bonders add time. Final timing and pricing are confirmed during your consultation to ensure accurate scheduling.

Prices vary based on product usage and time required for your length and density. We provide an estimated price during consultation after assessing hair condition, desired lift, and any needed bonders or extra services. Exact quote provided before service.

Use sulfate-free, color-safe shampoos and conditioners; incorporate purple or toning products for blondes as recommended. Limit heat styling, schedule regular deep-conditioning and bond-builder treatments, and book touch-ups as advised. We’ll give a personalized aftercare plan during your consultation and at checkout.
